Concept Voldemars Johansons is a Latvian artist who works with sound and sculpture. For the first time in the history of the Caucasus region a solo exhibition by a sound artist took place by/through presenting Voldemars Johansons' works. He works with sound in the forms of composition and installation. His works explore perception in visible and audible domains. Voldemars Johansons previous works are known as experimental installations and performances of water, light and sound. They are based on a synergy of art and science. The artist uses data of phenomena of nature and atmosphere – power of wind, spectrum of http://www.varley.net/online/ electromagnetic waves and etc. – they are being investigated, translated and displayed in a visual and sonic experience that opens new frontiers of aesthetic perception to the audience. The critics highlight the artist’s ability to convey the complicated knowledge of physics and technologies in visually fascinating and immersive to other senses manifestations.
